I’m jumping in right where everyone else is. I’m not going to fret over the 89 days that I’ve missed or the several that I will probably miss over the course of the year.

My daughter, Ireland, and I were going through a small wooden box of old photos from when my dad was a young man. She came across this. On the other side of the paper it states he was trained as a general laborer for a brick plant. He died 10 years ago. I have so many questions for him. When I come across a piece of his history like this it leaves me with more questions. Maybe this is why I want to leave a story behind, although I’m sure that whatever I do leave behind will fuel more questions that can’t be answered after I’m gone.
